She never said no to the BMP. Ever.
Also, she isn't incharge of these decisions, only telling us about them.

But if this is true, then it was not marketing, then it was a lie.

Well: I believe that this can be....sort of fixed by sending the GW:EN boxing to those who bought GW:EN during the promo - online.
Just a personal opinion anyway, I mean you have to put in your address ect...
But it won't fix the fact that ANet cancelled the chancing of future promotions. People will feel lied to and cheated. And in a way ripped off at that.

I've spent my last penny on ANet. They finally lost me somewhere between their dishonest marketing and their absurd rare minipet distribution schemes.

Mmm, that's why I don't understand what was up with this marketing ploy in the first place. People keep saying it's all business, it's all about the bottom line. Sure, fudge the definitions, strongly suggest that it'll never be sold again, create a panic. People hurried to qualify for the BMP, and the ones that missed out are sorry now and will hurry to buy it in a month. Great short-term profits, sure, and way to cash in on the "collector" facet of the gaming community, but quite a few people who have spent hundreds on CE, character slots, campaigns, etc. are claiming they feel mislead, betrayed, whatever. And they're done with buying things from Anet.
So, in the long term, IS it worth it? Before this, GW had quite a bit of customer trust and loyalty. The whole way this thing was run feels almost out of character for the company I've come to enjoy.
I'm not quitting, as I've said before, but this has definitely taught me to think twice about jumping on board any more of their offers.

People will still buy them because they dont understand the fundamental aim of a company : Make LOTSA CASH.
They could give it away and you cant do crap, I reccomend either go play the game or go play orange box, one will bore you and the other will blow your mind, all over your room, then well do anet for murder.

A big thanks here for making the BMP available through retail channels. The €8.99 is a bit on the steep side, but I suspect I'll judge it well worth paying.
My one complaint is that this availability wasn't made clear when the BMP was first announced. Left me with a pretty bad impression for quite a while.

A little obsessed with Orange Box, no? It wasn't even the best FPS released last year, let alone best game.

It all depends on what you like. I dont like PVP anymore, I only play PVE.
Secondary quests in GW have very little purpose since you can get XP and gold faster from farming. They are extremely boring and qualify as grind.
And I dont really care much about the story. In fact after finishing the game I had no clue what had happened in the story line.
Its so wonderful that people that continue to play GW do so without considering is downfalls. There are are plenty of them, and there are plenty of people leaving the game, yet A-net do nothing to address the main concerns that players have about the game.
Bad company made a good game. Bad company ruined the game and keep on making it worse and worse. This thread and the BMP aquisition is yet another example of this.
And btw, in case a lot of you nubs didnt realise, I thrive off winding you up and making you lose your tempers. Keep it up since so many of you fail at discussing.

Gaile says stuff you know? Its like...her JOB.
yep Gaile says a LOT of stuff.
people who think a "no" or a "yes" or whatever noise coming out of a PR executives mouth actually MEANS anything need to rethink their reality.
next time try to think for yourselves and use a little logic.

Regardless of what was said, the BMP was supposed to be a bonus for buying stuff in the online store, like the CE bonuses are a bonus for buying the CE. If Anets reason to sell the BMP is to make money and not care what the players think, then why not sell the divine aura and /dancenew emotes too?

Coming from someone who has the 3 CE bonuses: I wouldn't mind if Arenanet made them available for purchase again, even unbundled.
I'm glad Arenanet does indeed not care about those that get their joy from seeing others deprived of something they have.

Doesn't seem like you even like this game, why the hell are you here then?
If they started to sell emotes and stuff like that, it would suck. It would make this game in a way like Maple Story and their crappy store where you waste real money on some 2D piece of crap that makes no real use. I hate online games that do that

I bought three character slots so I guess I got the BMP free with only one of them... So I was suckered into buying two character slots I didn't need. Oh well. I like it anyway.

Well, It's now official: I won't be buying GW2.
I bought GW:EN online, so I paid more for it and I did not get the box and all the things that come with it. Instead I opted for the "bonus pack". I feel cheated, and I try really hard not to support companies that cheated me.
